Department of Anatomical Science

Our mission is to provide appropriate, relevant, and inspiring anatomy, histology, and embryology teaching and learning at any level for undergraduates, postgraduate degree students, medical students, and consultant surgeons wishing to research new procedures.

Our facilities, which include a histotechnic ward, a cell culture laboratory, and human dissecting rooms, allow students to benefit from our practical approach, which integrates our anatomical resources with modern technology.

Currently, department of anatomical sciences offers clinical training courses in maxillofacial, orthopedic, dental, ENT, and general surgery. Additionally, the organization supplies and supports other clinically related projects.

The Department of Anatomy relies heavily on the generous members of the public who bequeath their bodies to the school, which enables us to offer this essential training. These most valuable gifts reinforce our ability to continue our work.

The focus of research within the Department of Anatomy is related to the fields of gross anatomy, histology, embryology, and cell biology. Staff in the department of anatomical sciences are committed to creating new and creative teaching resources to supplement and enhance their teaching and to provide high-quality online and accessible anatomical learning tools.
